The Jones Connection

                                   Ch. Kirchoff Wandering Micky NRD

Our first meeting with Robyn and Colin Jones and their family was in late 1994 when they came on holiday to visit family in Port and thought they would check out the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. They had previously been involved with Labradors and had done a lot of retrieving trials. Curiosity turned into being conned by big brown eyes and the alternative breed they were never going to have went home to them two weeks late in the form of Ch Kirchoff Wandering Micky NRD. Micky has grown up to be a wonderful advocate for the breed starring in many commercials and challenging all Robyn's training theories. (Robyn is a qualified Delta trainer.) Micky was the first toller in Australia to gain a field qualification in this country and was best of breed Toller at Sydney Royal for 3 years in a row.  Sadly Micky lost his battle with prostate cancer and died in Robyn's arms on 23.12.07. He will be missed by us all.

As Micky grew up her turned into a very handsome man, not only film star but turning the Toller girls heads too. His liaison with Ch Kirchoff High Flyer produced only one girl Ch Kirchoff Last Flight CDX, ADM2, JDM, JDO,SPC,GD,SD and she headed off to the Jones house too. Caddy has also had her fair share of the TV and magazine modeling as well as being a wonderful agility dog.  She is currently in training for her masters agility and keeping Robyn fit in the process.

And finally who can forget Caddy's debut with Crystal Walker  as  junior handler competition dog. Despite not being shown very often, Caddy turned on the style and the charm and ably guided by Crystal won on the day to give Crystal an entry into the state competition. She has also filled in for Walker family Tollers at the Sydney Royal junior competitions - winning in with Crystal in her age group - when there were 3 Walker girls and only 2 Tollers.
